While we are not alone in this effort, we hope that continuing this work encourages transparency and accountability across the games and tech industries—particularly in spaces where women, people of color, and other historically marginalized groups have been underrepresented. As many companies reassess their approach to DE&I, we believe sustained, long-term commitment remains critical to building an industry that is more inclusive, equitable, and representative of the communities it serves.
Pipeworks conducts an anonymous demographic survey each year to better understand who makes up our studio and to help guide our ongoing Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion efforts. Participation is voluntary, and responses are collected anonymously so employees can share information as comfortably and accurately as possible.
Employees are invited to self-identify across the following categories: gender, race and ethnicity, age, sexual orientation, religion, ability/disability status, veteran status, and caregiver status. We recognize that this information is personal, and every question includes a “Prefer Not to Disclose” option. Responses selecting this option, as well as non-responses, are reflected as “Nondisclosed” in the data.
This year’s survey was shared with all employees, and results are presented in aggregate only. Percentages are rounded to the nearest tenth. As with previous years, this data helps us track progress over time and identify areas where we can continue to improve how we support our people.
* Multiracial/Other category in 2025 includes Native Hawaiian or Other Pacific Islander
*American Indian/Indigenous Origin and Black/African American received enough responses to be represented as their own categories in 2025
With the results from the 2025 Demographic Survey, we will keep working to identify areas where we can improve and provide support to marginalized and underrepresented groups at Pipeworks. In recruitment, we will continue to grow our candidate pool and standardize the hiring process to minimize unconscious bias. Our goal is to build a truly diverse and inclusive company to improve the experience of every employee. We are proud of the progress we've made over the years, but we recognize there is still much to do. These surveys help us track changes in engagement and belonging at Pipeworks. Thank you for reading, and thank you to everyone who participated!
